Students from two Kilkenny secondary schools have been selected to participate in an athletics masterclass.
The top 10 athletics students from both Castlecomer Community School and Loreto Secondary School in Kilkenny will take part alongside 200 top track and field students from across the country next month
It’s a joint initiative between Bank of Ireland and Athletics Ireland – they’ve launched a nationwide search to identify and foster talented athletics students
The programme will culminate in an event with advice and tips from Ireland’s top sports psychologists, nutritionists and athletes including former European Indoor Championship gold medalist David Gillick.
