Local Councillor Peter “Chap” Cleere, has announced his intention to stand as a candidate in the coming general election.
Speaking on the Saturday show with Edward Hayden at the Iverk show in Piltown, the Cllr for the Callan-Thomastown Municipal district, confirmed that he would be seeking the nomination to be one of the probable two candidates running for Fianna Fail in the constituency.
