An extra quarter of a million euro is expected to be coming Kilkenny’s way this year as the Town and Village Renewal Scheme returns.
Last year a pot of about €360,000 was shared between the successful applicants of Kells, Urlingford, Ballyhale and Piltown.
Councillor Peter Chap Cleere says the scheme had a hugely positive effect on those areas.
And he says that hopefully this year a lot more areas will benefit.
