Kilkenny Trad Fest launches and new directors announced for Cat Laughs

The 5th Kilkenny Tradfest was launched in the city last night.

Running from the 16th to the 19th of March it will, as usual, take in the St Patrick’s Day festivities in the city as well as bringing some big name acts including Paul Brady, Declan Sinnot & Eleanor McEvoy.

Meanwhile organisers of the Cat Laughs Festival say the 2017 event will happen from the 1st to the 5th of June.

New directors were announced for the festival  –  Dan Colley and Matthew Smyth of Irish Theatre company Collapsing Horse take over the reigns for 2017.
