Kilkenny’s new Riverside Garden in the Abbey Quarter opens ahead of long weekend

Kilkenny’s new Riverside Garden has opened today ahead of the Bank Holiday.

The walk goes along the bank of the River Nore through the Abbey Quarter from Bateman’s Quay to Green’s Bridge.

The county council has gone for a soft opening with no publicity so that locals would be able to used it over the long weekend.

An official opening ceremony is being planned for next Wednesday.
