The Labour leader says the behaviour of US President Donald Trump since his election is “shocking”.
Speaking on KCLR Live earlier, Brendan Howlin, said Ireland needs to professionally engage with the U.S. but we cannot endorse “Trump-ism” by sharing St Patrick’s Day celebrations with him.
The Wexford TD also described the last general election as “a disaster” for the party after it lost 30 seats.
He says Labour is in the “rebuilding phase” now.
And he had this response to Ann Phelan moving from minister to community water officer employed by Kilkenny County Council:
“Those very good and fine public representatives who lost their seats had to go on and earn a living like everybody else so they look for jobs in a variety of ways but they’re still connected to the party, they still have the values and vision of rebuilding the party.”
