“There is scope for reuniting County Carlow on this occasion.”
So says Fine Gael Deputy Pat Deering as the deadline for submissions on the constituency boundaries between East Carlow and Wicklow closes this evening.
As it stands residents of certain towns and villages in Carlow including Rathvilly, Clonmore and Hacketstown cast their votes in Wicklow but if the boundary was to change they could vote in their own county in future.
Deputy Deering says it is something locals feel strongly about.
