A late Kildare goal denied Carlow victory in the O’Byrne Cup last night.
Carlow were defeated 2-7 to 1-9 in Athy.
They will host Louth in Dr Cullen Park on Sunday at 2.15 in their final group game of the competition.
That game will be preceded by the Carlow hurlers first game in the Walsh Cup. They face NUI Galway at 12.30.
Elsewhere in the O’Byrne Cup last night, Westmeath won their first match since May 2013 after beating DCU 3-11 to 2-13
The victory represents an end to 15 defeats in a row.
