Local Fine Gael councillor believes that the party is sending out right signals with just one presidential candidate

Heather Humphreys looks set to become the Fine Gael candidate in the presidential election.

It comes after MEP Sean Kelly pulled out of the race yesterday evening after falling short of the support needed to trigger a contest within Fine Gael.

Speaking to KCLR News Local Fine Gael Councillor David Fitzgerald said while he was disappointed for Mr Kelly he believes that its the right decision.
