Man arrested after car chase in Bagenalstown

A man’s been arrested after a car chase in Carlow this lunchtime.

The car failed to stop for Gardai on the Milford Road near Bagenalstown just after 1.30pm.

The was a short pursuit, with units deployed from Carlow town and Kilkenny city to help.

The car was stopped soon after in Bagenalstown and the driver – a man in his 30s was arrested.

He’s being brought to Carlow Garda Station for questioning.
