One person’s been arrested following a drugs seizure in Co Kildare.
As part of Operation Tara, a search was carried out at a residential property in Leixlip yesterday (Thursday, 14th March) where the discovery was made of suspected cannabis herb.

The finding, which will be subject to analysis, is estimated to have a street value of €108,000.
A forty-year-old man is being detained at a Garda Station in North Kildare under Section 2 of the Drug Trafficking Act, 1996, and can be held for up to a week.

Investigations are continuing.
It follows a separate discovery in Kilkenny yesterday too, also under Operation Tara.
