Man hospitalised after St Patrick’s Day assault in Carlow

Gardaí are looking for your help after a man was assaulted in Carlow on St Patrick’s Day.

The unprovoked attack was carried out by a couple of men and happened on the Kilkenny Road at about 6.45pm on Friday evening.

The victim was later treated for minor injuries at St Luke’s hospital.

Gardaí say they have no description of the culprits but would like to hear from anyone who was in the Kilkenny Road area on St Patrick’s Day between 6.40 and 7pm.
