Man taken to hospital following incident at County Waterford home

A man’s been taken to hospital in the South East following an incident in County Waterford.

Emergency services were called to a home on Brown Street in Portlaw yesterday (Sunday) afternoon where Gardaí began negotiating with a man.

These negotiations led to the resolution of the issue shortly after 7pm last night and a media blackout which had been imposed has since been lifted.

Nobody else was injured and Gardaí continue to investigate.
