We’ve had a host of visits in recent weeks from the country’s senior politicians and today it’s the turn of Helen McEntee.
She heads up the Defence, Foreign Affairs and Trade portfolios and is due in Kilkenny later.
Minister McEntee has been invited by newly elected President of Kilkenny Chamber Claire McInerney Brown to her first official Dinner at the Newpark Hotel this evening from 5:30-7:30pm.
There the Minister will be interviewed, Fireside Chat style, by KCLR CEO John Purcell with tickets available via Eventbrite.
Ms McInerney Brown says of the event “at a time of rapid global economic change, having the Minister directly address local business leaders offers a crucial opportunity to discuss trade strategies, SME support, and investment in regional infrastructure. This engagement reinforces Kilkenny’s position as a vibrant hub for enterprise, allowing our members to directly influence the national agenda on competitiveness and export growth.”
Minister McEntee’s also expected to stop off at Stephens Barracks in the city with Chief of Staff, Lieutenant General Rossa Mulcahy to meet personnel of the 3rd Infantry Battalion and tour their facilities.
KCLR News’ Martin Quilty will be at both events so stay tuned for updates.
Yesterday, our area saw Minister Thomas Byrne stop by.
