here was no luck for St. Mullins as they bowed out of the AIB Leinster Club senior hurling championship going down to Raharney at Mullingar yesterday. Raharney made life difficult for St. Mullins with early scores as they led by 1-5 to 0-4 at half time.
St Mullins rallied early in the second period reducing the lead to a single score 1-5 to 0-7 but then disaster as John Shaw scraped in the second goal for Raharney and they commanded the game from there to the end. Marty Kavanagh scored eight points and Paudie Kehoe one
Final Score – Raharney 2-11, St. Mullins 0-9
Ballon had a good win over Kilmacanogue of Wicklow at Dr. Cullen Park. Alan Kelly scored 3-3 for the winners
Final score – Ballon 3-7, Kilmacanogue 1-12
Ballon will now meet Daingean of Offaly on Sunday next at 2-00 pm with a home venue
