The mother of a disabled boy says they are just weeks from homelessness

A mother desperately searching for a home for her family in Kilkenny says she has three weeks now before they are homeless.

Tracey McGinnis has been appealing in recent weeks and months for anyone with a suitable house that she could rent for her and her two sons, one of whom has severe cerebral palsy.

She says she is now officially on the housing list in Kilkenny but can’t afford to wait that long so will need a property suitable for a HAP tenancy.

She says it’s very difficult to get their particular needs across through an agent and would love to speak with a landlord directly.
