A Carlow farmer whose land is going to be used for this year’s Ploughing Championships says he expects preparations will ramp up from here on.
The first public meeting about the Championships is taking place this evening in the former Leinster Hills Golf Club from 8pm.
Locals can go along to hear about the plans that are being put in place for Ballintrane in Fenagh.
Speaking to KCLR News, Séamus Quirke says there hasn’t been too much happening yet. He says “The NPA have been busy in the background doing their thing, the guards have been out & about looking at the roads, setting up traffic plans – that’s basically all that’s been going on over the Winter.”
