Nightly water restrictions in place for parts of north Kilkenny

Nightly water restrictions have taken hold in Castlecomer.

Since last night and running to the 22nd of this month they’ll be in place from 9pm to 9am.

Areas affected also include Clogh, Massford, Moneenroe and Coolbawn.

Cllr Maurice Shortall says; “I can certainly understand people’s frustrations having no water for 12 hours a day for ten days would be challenging for people, however if there’s one silver lining in all this it’s the new planning permission that’s currently gone in by Irish Water to significantly upgrade the water quality locally which will not only be important in building more housing but will also enhance the chances of local business extending or even new business opening”.
