Number of people on trolleys in St Luke’s down significantly on yesterday
The number of people on trolleys in St Luke’s Hospital has more than halved in the past 24 hours.
Yesterday the local Emergency Department was the most overcrowded in the country with 46 patients waiting for a bed.
Today, however, South Tipperary General Hospital, which was the second busiest yesterday, is now topping the list at 41.
The number of people on trolleys locally now stands at 20 today – a decrease of 26 patients.
The HSE has yet to respond to requests for a reason why the figures have been so high over the last few days.
