It was a disappointing day for both Carlow I.T. and the Carlow Senior footballers as both crashed out of the Bord Na Mona O’Byrne Cup today.
The senior county side faced Longford in Dr.Cullen Park, and despite losing 1-13 to 0-00 at halftime. Carlow managed to save some face in the second half, pulling the game back with goals from Shane McGrath and Seamus Kinsella, with a final score of 1-19 to 2-07 in favour of the mid-landers.
Carlow I.T.’s clash with Wicklow was a much closer affair, with the students eventually losing by a solitary point, final score 1-9 to 0-11 to Wickow.
