Kilkenny have booked their place in the Leinster hurling semi final after walloping a poor Offaly side in Nowlan park tonight by 5-32 to 1-18.
The game was over as a contest after the first quarter when Eoin Larkin’s goal made it 1-9 to 0-3 after 15 minutes.
Brian Cody’s side led by 2-22 to 0-6 at the break and proceeded to set a new scoring record in the second half.
Two goals from Mark Kelly and a second from Eoin Larkin wrapped up the win.
The only sour note came with an injury to TJ Reid midway through the second half which could make him a doubt for the semi final with Galway in 2 weeks.
