One person’s dead and two others in hospital following an assault at a home on the Wexford / Kilkenny border.
It happened in New Ross area at about 11:45pm last night (Sunday, 1st December).
Gardaí says they are investigating all of the circumstances surrounding the death of a girl following a fatal assault – she was taken to University Hospital Waterford for treatment where she passed away from her injuries in the early hours of this morning.
A post-mortem examination is due to take place.
A scene has been preserved for technical examination.
