Gardaí are warning shop-owners and delivery people to be extra cautious when leaving items outside.
It’s after a large quantity of grocery items were stolen from outside a business in the Parade area of Kilkenny City in recent days.
The person delivering it had unloaded the produce from the van and left it near the door, waiting to be brought in.
However, an opportunistic thief managed to make off with them before anyone noticed.
