It’s more of a sit-out than a drive-in but outdoor cinema is coming to Kilkenny Castle.
The OPW and cinema experts ‘Happenings’ have announced the Castle grounds is to be the setting of a series of Classic Movies.

The series follows the successful first outing of outdoor cinema in Kilkenny last summer with screenings of Back to the Future and the Goonies in the Ballykeefe Amphitheatre.
Organisers say the events will work on a ‘Leave no Trace’ policy – meaning anyone attending must bring all their own rubbish away with them.
The first cinema will be announced this coming Monday, the 23rd of May.
