Local Cancer patients who are getting chemotherapy at St Luke’s Hospital can now get free transport to their appointments.
It’s thanks to the Irish Cancer Society who have added the local hospital to the voluntary driver service programme list.
The service is free to the patients while the drivers get a contribution towards their fuel and costs.
Cathal Cullen is a volunteer driver in Kilkenny, he says its a huge help to families and patients.
