Inga Reed was born in Liverpool (in Birkenhead to be exact), but moved and spent most of her early life in Belfast.
Deciding on a life in the Arts, she studied at Loughborough University and moved to Ireland when her husband Les was appointed to the Crawford School of Art in Cork. They moved to Kilkenny a number of years ago where she has established herself as a Jeweller and Silversmith, winning the inaugural Crafts Council of Ireland Craftsmanship Award 2008.
She’s also a member of the Made In Kilkenny Craft group who are about to launch their annual exhibition to tie in with the Kilkenny Arts Festival.
