A South East community’s still in shock this morning following the tragic death of a three-month-old yesterday morning.
The baby girl died after being attacked by a dog in the village of Clashmore at around 2am.
Emergency services attended the scene and brought the child to Cork University Hospital where she was later pronounced dead.
A post mortem’s due to be carried out later today.
Mayor of Waterford City and County, Councillor Damien Geoghegan says the people of Clashmore are shocked.
