Oh it really was very disappointing! However Beano and the lads are undaunted- Beano could not believe the sense of pride amongst the thousands of Irish supporters in the stadium in Poznan. The sat.nav. however was a bit of a casualty however- total casualty in fact- thelads threw it out the window on the way to Poznan. We love talking to the guys and will be in touch with them on their was to Gdansk this week!
I had a whole new experience on Sunday doing “public interviews” with best selling novelists Lionel Shriver [We Need to Talk About Kevin] and Katie Hickman [The Pindar Diamond]. It was a new experience and a bit challenging but I really loved talking to them. Their books are great! Borris House, the venue was so beautiful- a full panoramic view from the front door of the whole Blackstairs mountain range. It was The Hay Festival as part of The Carlow Ats Festival- Éigse.
