Gardaí are investigating if two incidents in the same area of Kilkenny are linked.
Power tools were taken from a van parked up outside a business premises at Cillin Hill some time after 2:30am on Sunday morning (2nd Feb 2025) with the owner making the discovery later that morning at 9am.
Sgt Conor Egan says “A number of assorted power tools were stolen from the back of the van, we’ve yet to get an inventory on exactly what was taken but quite a number of tools were stolen from the van so again the Gardaí in Kilkenny are appealing for any witnesses, CCTV, dashcam to be made available to them please on 056 777 5000”.
Earlier today on KCLR an appeal was issued for witnesses to trespassers at another building in the same area during the same timeframe – Gardaí would like to speak to the two men to rule them out of their investigations.
