A report into the future of Trauma Services at St Luke’s Hospital in Kilkenny has been delayed once again.
That’s according to Fianna Fail Deputy Bobby Aylward, who submitted a Parlimentary Question to Health Minister Simon Harris about the issue.
The possibility of downgrading first emerged from a leaked Trauma Steering Group report, suggesting that the services be removed from St Luke’s ED.
Minister Harris confirmed to Deputy Aylward that the report into the services at the local acute hospital won’t be completed now until 2017.
Speaking to KCLR news, Bobby says the retention of these services is of huge importance
