A draft masterplan for a major new community park at the former Clover Centre site in Ferrybank has received broad support at its final public consultation in Abbey Community College last evening.
The 9.5-acre development includes a multi-use playing pitch, community building, and dog park, with space for future expansion.
Local resident David Hearne has described the plans as “absolutely brilliant” and long overdue.
While concerns remain about population growth and local services, overall sentiment is strongly in favour of the project moving ahead.
KCLR News’ Martin Quilty was there and spoke to local residents, Abbey Community College’s principal as well as the design team who have come up with the plan. You can listen to them on the link below.
