A local water supply has been deemed unsafe for babies.
An alert has been issued by Kilkenny county council about the small private supply at Gowran’s Abbeygrove Housing development due to an elevated presence of nitrates in the water.
Following consultation with the HSE it’s been decided that water on the scheme is not safe for consumption by babies under 6 months
