Roy Keane has resigned as assistant manager at Aston Villa.
In a statement, Keane says combining assistant roles with the Republic of Ireland and Villa had become too much for him.
The Corkman says his situation wasn’t fair to either Villa or Ireland, so he has decided to step away from the Midlands club.
Keane only assumed the role on July first, and Villa currently sit just two points above the Premier League dropzone having won just three times this season.
