A former minister will be sleeping rough tonight in Carlow to fundraise for local homeless services.
Mary White says this is the seventh year in a row that she and her friends have organised this sleep-out which will take place in the doorway of Shaws on Tullow Street from 8 o’clock.
She says homelessness is a cause she’s campaigned for all of her adult life.
And speaking to KCLR, Mary says it’s something everybody should be concerned about and all are welcome to join her tonight.
This is the second sleep-out that’s taken place in Carlow in the last few days.
On Saturday a number of GAA players and management also spent the night on the streets.
