A sentencing date has been set for a driver who admitted causing a fatal road collision that claimed the life of a Kilkenny father of three last October.
The crash happened on the R725 at Shillelagh, killing 66 year old Callan native Thomas “Tommy” Cuddihy at the scene and leaving his wife, Kay, injured.
36-year-old Abayomi Ikanlawon, with an address in Church Street, Carlow Town, appeared before Wicklow Circuit Criminal Court after pleading guilty to dangerous driving causing death.
Judge Sinéad Ní Chúlacháin has prioritised the case and adjourned the matter to July 23rd for formal sentencing.
