After 12 years at the helm of Kilkenny Chamber, CEO John Hurley is stepping down from the role on September 7th to pursue new opportunities.
During his tenure, he oversaw continued membership growth, the introduction of initiatives including Chamber Chats, and support for businesses through challenging periods such as the pandemic.
He also helped transform the Kilkenny Business Awards and drove the success of the Kilkenny Gift Voucher Scheme, which has generated more than €1.6 million in local spending.
The Chamber says John has been a strong advocate for Kilkenny businesses and a regular media voice for the local business community.
The Board has begun the recruitment process for his successor and has thanked John for his contribution over the past 12 years.
Mr Hurley spoke with our reporter Martin Quilty about his decision and his time as CEO of Kilkenny Chamber.
