Six men are now being held by Gardaí in Wexford and Cork in connection with the seizure of two tonnes of cocaine.
The discovery was made off the southern coast after a Joint Taskforce detained a cargo ship, the M-V Matthew, that had traveled from South America.
It’s believed a trawler which got into difficulty in Wexford on Sunday may be linked.
Three men believed to have been on the vessel in Cork and three others believed to be connected to the Wexford ‘sting operation’ are being questioned by Gardaí.
