SOCCER – Richard Keogh and John O Shea could be paired for Ireland V Scotland

Isoccreland’s Richard Keogh who has links to Carlow could start alongside John O Shea tonight in a central defence role against Scotland.

Both men were paired during a practice match at training yesterday ahead of tonight’s game in Celtic Park.

Ireland will hope to maintain their unbeaten start to Euro qualifying Group D when they take on Scotland tonight.

A win for Martin O’Neill’s men would move them 6 points clear of the Scots and in a strong position to qualify.

Jeff Hendrick is a likely starter in place of the injured James McCarthy, and O’Neill has batted away any concerns over the Derby midfielder’s lack of international experience.
