Ireland’s first ever €1million Scratch Card prize has been won in the South East.
A player in county Wexford has won following the launch of the All Cash Millionaire Game.
Details of where in the county the ticket was sold are due tomorrow.
National Lottery spokesperson, Darragh O’Dwyer said; This is a huge milestone for the National Lottery as we reveal that the top prize on the All Cash Millionaire Scratch Card, which is a first of its kind in Ireland, has now been won. A player in Co. Wexford has scratched their way to €1 million, becoming the first person in Ireland ever to win a €1 million prize on a Scratch Card. To mark this historic moment, we’ll be in Wexford tomorrow, Tuesday 19th May, to officially reveal where the winning ticket was sold.”
Nearly 30 cent in every €1 spent on National Lottery games goes back to Good Causes in the areas of sport, youth, health, welfare, education, arts, heritage and the Irish Language. In total, €7 billion has been raised for Good Causes since the National Lottery was established 39 years ago. In 2024 alone, €239.3 million was raised for local Good Causes in communities across Ireland.
