The new Mayor of Kilkenny will be supporting a peaceful protest in the city this morning.
Musicians will be taking to the streets all around the country in an effort to gain more support from the government after their industry was basically shut down for the entire duration of the pandemic so far.
The local leg will start at midday but organisers are asking people to gather on The Parade from an hour beforehand.
Mayor Andrew McGuinness is a musician himself and he says they need our support while organiser Tomás Jackman says they want everyone to come along and make some noise:
