Kilkenny’s one of eight counties to fall under a Status Yellow High Temperature warning.
It with Tipperary, Laois, Kerry, Limerick, Clare, Galway and Offaly are under the alert from midday today (Tuesday, 26th May) to 6pm tomorrow (Wednesday, 27th May) as temperatures look set to exceed 27 degrees.
Met Éireann’s advising of possible heat stress, forest fires and uncomfortable sleeping conditions with night-time lows not expected to drop below 15 degrees.
Carlow’s not yet on the list, despite having seen some of the warmest highs yesterday.
