Met Éireann has issued a yellow weather warning for snow and ice for tonight and much of tomorrow morning.
Showers of snow are expected at times, particularly on hills, mountains and areas of high ground in Carlow, Kilkenny and around the country.
Temperatures are likely to fall below freezing nationwide tonight and hazardous driving conditions should be expected.
You’re being reminded to be extra wary of black ice and to always wear a high visibility jacket if you’re going out walking or cycling.
The warning is in effect from 8 tonight until 12 noon tomorrow.
