Supervalu who are anchor tenants in the Market Cross shopping Centre in Kilkenny is to close at the end of November it has been confirmed to KCLR. It is understood staff were called to a meeting yesterday afternoon to be told the news
A statement issued to KCLR by Musgraves reads SuperValu can confirm that the difficult decision has been made to close its store in Market Cross Shopping Centre in Kilkenny City. The store currently employs 38 people. The staff in the store were advised of the decision on 17th October.
According to Musgraves statement the decision to close the store was taken after every option to address the long-term viability of the store was considered.
SuperValu Market Cross will continue to operate business untill on 25th November 2023.
