Take extra care on the roads is the message as European Day Without a Road Death is underway

You’re being urged to take extra care on the roads today as European Day Without a Road Death is underway.

So far this year 4 people have lost their lives on the roads around Carlow and Kilkenny.

Today police and road safety agencies across Europe are trying to achieve one full day without a single death on the raods.

Speaking to KCLR News, Carlow’s Road Safety Officer, John McDarby says the death rate is far too high all around the continent.
