Extra care’s needed again this morning on roads across Carlow and Kilkenny.
The current Yellow Low Temperature warning for the entire country is in play until midnight Thursday but Met Éireann’s expected to upgrade that to Orange today.
Some routes locally already have black ice while most appear fairly wet – this could become an issue should temperatures drop between 8 and 9am this morning as has been forecast, depending on cloud cover.
And Alan O’Reilly of Carlow Weather has been telling KCLR News that the worst is due tonight and into tomorrow (Wednesday) morning;
Local Authority teams have been out in both Kilkenny and Carlow while emergency out-of-hours personnel are available on 0818 399 399 and 059 9170302, or during office hours 056 7794145 and (059) 917 0300.
