Jimmy Meagher says the county’s new Kilkenny Senior Camogie management team have hit the ground running since their appointment.
Meagher was confirmed over the weekend as part of the new setup taking over from Tommy Shefflin for the 2026 season.
Speaking to Eddie Scally on KCLR’s Full Time on Monday night, Meagher said the group wasted no time getting started:
“The work started last week. We were having a look at girls for trials. We have a panel of 40 that we’ll have a look at for trials over the next two Saturdays. We’ll have a fitness test before we cut that panel down to about 28.”
The new management team — Jimmy Meagher, David Dowling, Eoin Murphy, Kieran Brennan, and Stephen Farrell — are now focused on finalising their panel as preparations begin for the 2026 intercounty season.
