Traffic at ‘standstill’ on South Kilkenny / Waterford border

Traffic’s at a “standstill” again this morning on the South Kilkenny / Waterford border.

The New Ross Road in Ferrybank is backed up passed the Aldi roundabout according to eye witnesses.

Motorists are asked to avoid the area if possible or to allow extra travel time if proceeding.

Many have been turning around in a bid to seek alternative routes.

It’s as one local business in the area has included recent road works in the area as one of the reasons it’s unlikely to reopen;
