Another south Kilkenny community is trying to come to terms with the death of a young man in a road crash.
Yesterday, it was confirmed that one of the fatalities in Tuesday evening’s incident on the N69 near Askeaton was Cillian Kirwan from Templeorum, Piltown.
He and 20-year-old Darragh Dullea from County Cork were passengers in a car that hit a wall – a third passenger and the driver were injured.
All four young men were part of the same agricultural course, and had been studying and living locally.
Tributes have begun to Cillian, including from Piltown AFC who’ve posted the following on social media channels;
Meanwhile, it’s as neighbouring Hugginstown is set to say goodbye to Josh Dineen following his death in a crash close to Kilkenny city in the early hours of Saturday morning.
