Truck broken down and oil spill southbound on the M9 through South Kilkenny

Motorists heading south on the M9 are asked to take extreme care this afternoon.

A truck’s broken down between Junctions 9 and 10, Danesfort and Knocktopher, in the southbound lane.

Gardaí are being assisted by fire personnel at the scene – they’re also dealing with an oil spill on the stretch.

You’re asked to approach the area with caution.
