Two people are due before the courts later this morning in connection with the seizure of €80,000 worth of drugs in County Kildare.
It follows the search of a residential premises in Athy on Saturday (16th May) where €60,000 of suspected cannabis, €20,000 of what’s understood to be cocaine and €8,500 in cash was discovered.
One man aged in his twenties and another in his thirties were arrested by Gardaí and taken to Newbridge Garda Station for questioning under Section 2 of the Criminal Justice Drug Trafficking Act, 1996.
Both have since been charged and are due before Naas District Court at 10:30am today.
Investigations are ongoing.
